Yeah, saw that. They should have a bit more variety on the death-by-fire, but other than that pretty... well, actually, no. It's not surprising. And they could be better. Though kudospoints for the gore.

But you sohuld bear in mind that they don't want ovely-elaborate death-animations because it would detract from readability.

I actually don't think so; the only reason I believe they should have better or at least random death animations is that they're taking so bloody long, and this game is supposed to be epic anyway, so we should have higher standards in all fields. This is Blizzard dammit, they have more $$$ than the US Government (okay, not really... but you know what I mean).

It is supposed to be epic, but on the other hand, they are trying to make SC2 a very competitive game.

If the screen is cluttered with wonderful death animations, you can hardly react with split-second speed can you?

But I guess it really comes down to trusting in Blizz. *shrug*
